“This lawsuit is without merit” Desert Hawks owner releases statement following National Arena League lawsuit

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - The indoor football league known as the National Arena League (NAL) has filed a lawsuit against the owner of the Desert Hawks in an attempt to prevent the West Texas team from competing in the Arena Football League.

The previous indoor football team, (West Texas Warbirds) were a member of the National Arena League, but the team left in 2023 because they claim the NAL did not fulfill obligations.

Multiple other teams left the NAL because of this.

In the lawsuit, the NAL is alleging that the West Texas team breached its contract, but the Desert Hawks owner disagrees.
